Miss Muffets purse.

Miss Muffet here has an obsession with purses.  She has to be carrying it around with her at all times.  I have caught her on the toilet with it still attached to her shoulder.  She just had to upgrade to a bigger size.  She sat down to "organize" her purse and this is what we found.
(Just a side note.  My rug is really, really dirty.)
One Direction notebook.  She's a very dedicated Directioner!
Mp3 player.
Pen.
Play Camera.
Play keys.
Small sticky notes.
Combination lock.
Harmonica.
Old cell phone.
Play jewelry.
Wallet.
Play money.
Real money.
Smaller notebook.
Extra pony tail.

She is so funny about what's in her purse.  I think it may weigh more than she does.  This is something that has become border line OCD, but it keeps her busy and happy.  That's all I could ask for.  Maybe I should have her start organizing my purse.

Harvest

The sun has sweetened the blackberries to perfection.  We try to go out every evening and pick several bowls of berries.  The kids hate picking them, I don't blame them at all.  It's become a health hazard!  We have so many scrapes and cuts from the berry brambles.  On this particular evening after I washed the berries and bagged them, I weighed them.  We picked almost 9 pounds!  Right now they go into the freezer.  I am hoping that after the kids start school I will be able to can some jam and berries.
Tonight the girls and I went out and picked a huge bowl of blackberries and I made the most amazing blackberry crisp.  We scooped some vanilla ice cream on it. Oh my!

Even though it's a painful experience, the kids still help out.

The pears are dropping off the tree like crazy.  We keep giving them away and eating a lot!
There are quite a few different kinds of fruit trees, most I don't know what they are.  Just know that they are delicious.  I think these are Asian pears.

We found these hazelnut trees back by the forest.  The squirrels have gotten to most of them.  I was able to get a nice basket load though.

We are going to have plenty of  grapes.

This sounds really corny, but we are enjoying having a place with so much produce.  It's fun to go out everyday and see what Mother Nature has provided.  Everyday there is something new to look at and discover.  The trees are starting to change color already and it's stunning.  Autumn is my favorite season because of all the colors and the cool temperatures.  Being here in Northern Washington is going to be absolutely amazing during the Fall.

Delightful Dahlia's.

There is a Dahlia farm a few miles down the road from our house.  These dahlia's have become an obsession of mine recently.  I can't have enough of them.
In this bouquet, I put dahlia's with fresh mint and sweet pea's from my garden.  The smell is out of this world.

The farm has this shed in the front yard.  You pick your own flowers and leave the money in the drop box.  The flowers are just 5/ $1.00.  Wow!
I love to drive by and just look at all the flowers.
The day I took these pictures, Troy was driving.
He is so patient when I tell him to pull over so I can take pictures yet again.

I love to have fresh cute flowers in the house.  Being so close to this farm makes it that much easier to have this little treat of mine more often.

Catching up with pictures and life.

Our neighbors a couple of fields over have several calves right now.  I went crazy over them.  Reminded me of  being on the Jones farm.  I showed Logan how the calves like to suck on fingers.  Now that was a funny thing to watch.
One of the little girls is Olivia's age and grade.  The kids went swimming the other night over at their house while a crooned over the baby cows.  I really wanted to take one if the calves home with me.
There is a Dahlia farm down the road from us.  The farmer sets out buckets of flowers with a little cash box. Love, love, love them.
Our fruit trees are loaded with fruit right now.  We have already had raspberries and plums.
Poppy love to climb the trees.

Troy with Olivia and Ella on a walk with Izzie.  This was right before bed, thus the PJ pants.
One of the guys that Troy works for came over the other night with his family.  They are from South Africa and have the most lovely accents.  Troy took them down to the pond to see if they could catch some fish.  The kids get along will together and we hope to do more with their family.

This is what they catch down at the pond.  The nastiest looking cat fish.  Of course they just release them.  It gives them something to do.

One Directioners

A little tid bit on my life right now.  Everything that goes on in the house has to do with the band One Direction.  Seriously!  The girls eat, breath, sleep everything about them.  One Directioners is a phrase someone came up with for people that are dedicated to all things One Direction.  I have to admit that I really do like the band.

The two top photo's are of Soren and Olivia.  They had been pulling each other on the rolly thing.  Don't ask me what it's called because I don't know.  It was fun to sit back and watch them.

The girls were outside waiting for their friend Meredith.  Ella has finally past Anna in height.  Anna will be 15 in September and Ella will be Twelve in October.  They are both taller than I am.  So not liking this.

Soren is still taller than Olivia,  but Olivia outweighs him.

 Here comes Meredith.
 HI!

I love it when they are together.  All they do is laugh.  I love it when my kids are laughing.  It usually means they aren't fighting.

I know these pictures are random.  I just fell in love with these ladies.  This one was talking to me.  Sometimes I will drive over to where they are and just sit and watch them.

The other night we had a storm come through.  We had a double rainbow that was just stunning.

With the rainbows and rain, the snails came out in full force.  Yuck.
