We love Little Bear!

Maurice Sendak is the Creator and Illustrator of Little Bear.

Little Bear is a MUST in the house. I have them all recorded on our DVR. It started out being the only show Olivia would watch. When she was sick I would sit and hold her and watch Little Bear for hours. I am not talking about a few hours but all day long. Luckily for us Little Bear is really fun to watch and the family fell inlove with all the characters. Olivia is all better and we still watch it for hours on end. The first thing she wants in the morning is Little Bear.

Maurice Sendak is the Illustrator and creator of Little Bear. It all started out as a children's book then a cartoon. I love the original illustrations the best. Else Holmelund Minarik is the one who wrote the stories. I have several of the Little Bear books. Although I can never have enough.

After years of watching Little Bear, Mother Bear, Father Bear, Emily, Lucy, Duck, Cat, Hen, Owl, No Feet, Mitzie, Tutu, Grannie, Grandfather Bear,Grandmother Bear and Uncle Rustie have all their adventures, we still love them all. I thought I should dedicate a family post to the characters who have become part of our family.

Ohhhhhhhh, Olivia

Also notice my lipstick all over her little mouth.

Our Little Miss Muffet was pretty funny today. She went into the laundry room and wrapped the painters tape all over the vacuum. After she was all done she came and got me and told me she had fixed the vacuum for me. So this evening when I was vacuuming the floor, I had to do it with a roll of blue tape wrapped around the vacuum with Olivia watching me eagerly. After I was done she asked me if it worked better. She is going to be so disappointed when I have to take the tape off.

Just this week we had a miracle happen in our house. Olivia has been potty trained. She just decided herself that it was time. Today Troy, Olivia and I were in Taco Bell having lunch when Olivia told me she needed to go potty. When we were done in the bathroom we came out and she informed the whole Toco Bell lunch crowd that she went potty in the toilet. Troy was still in the line so everybody heard. Everyone started to laugh so I said " She has just been potty trained so everyone clap." Luckily everyone was very kind to oblige me by clapping and congratulating Olivia for being a big girl. She thought she was so special that all the people at Taco Bell were clapping for her. She has got such a funny little personality, and we love her to the girl stars. ( That is what she says to Troy and I. I love you to the boy moon, or I love you to the girl stars.)

Just not getting better!

We took Olivia into the doctor today. She has been running a low grade fever the past couple days and has lot of chest congestion. She has developed pneumonia. We caught it early, so she has to be on antibiotics and gets to be at home. She has been really blessed this year. She has not had pneumonia since June. I think with her recently having her tonsils and adenoids out, her body is just too worn out to fight anything off. The poor little thing is coughing like crazy and her throat is raw from her surgery. It is very frustrating that I can't seem to make her happy. All I can do is just hold her. Please keep her in your prayers.
