Lambert's in Missouri.

Food. Lot's and lot's of food. More food than you can fit in your stomach at one sitting, yet you do.

Chuck and Peggie took us to a restaurant in Springfield called Lambert's. There were 14 of us and we had to use 2 tables.

One of the things that they do at Lambert's is throw hot rolls. Someone walks around tossing rolls all over the place. If you want a roll, all you have to do is raise your hand and catch them.

This is a typical shot of Logan. Food stuffed in his face.

Along with the food you order someone is walking around with huge serving bowls scooping out sides like fried potato's and black eyed pea's. Fried okra was one of my favorite.

The meal comes in a big frying pan.

Yum!

Blake and Autumn enjoying their food. I think we all ate about a dozen rolls each.

Tara and Autumn being silly.

Ah, the newly weds. It was fun to get to know our new brother-in-law. Brian was really brave to go have dinner with the Dunow bunch. I think we scared him a bit.

There is Troy, Jordan, Soren and Logan at the other table. Soren got hit in the head by an out of control roll.

More rolls.

We all had to waddle out of the restaurant. It was a good to sit, visit and eat. Boy did we eat.

I am the Mother of these Wholagans.

One night a few months ago the kids turned on some music, put on my belly dancing scarves and had a good time. Olivia is here trying to show the correct way to belly dance. One of her favorite things to do these days is to sing and dance. She will be walking around the house or playing while singing the lovely song........Honky Tonk ba donk a donk. Shut my mouth, slap your Grandma. She even does it with a southern drawl. She would make Trace Atkins very proud.

I was trying to find pictures to depict the personalities of my children. Soren is always in motion. He is NEVER quiet. He could make me ready to blow a fuse then turn around and tell me I am the most beautiful mother in the world. The best way to describe Soren is Lovable. He loves everybody.

Ella is quiet except when she cries. Then it's like fingernails on a chalkboard to me. Notice that she is blond. A very beautiful, bubbly blond. Sometimes when she says some very "blond" things, I just have to walk away. I have been blessed to have children who love. Ella is a natural nurturer. Say that 5 times fast. Natural nurturer, Natural nurturer. Never mind. She is also a great poet and story teller.

Also a great poet and story teller. Her and Ella are always writing something. This picture was after Christmas when she got her makeup. Gee, can you tell? It's not so obvious anymore. She is suborn and strong willed. Put her against a scout any day and she will kick some serious booty. Watch out boys!

I am such a lucky mother that I can wake up on a Saturday morning to my Husband and our friend Andy having a shaving cream fight with our 14 year old and his best friend. Ya, lucky me. It is never calm or quiet when Logan is around. There is always a bang or a crash somewhere in the house followed by an injury. Logan is so smart he usually can self diagnose the injury himself. He is defiantly a teenager now. I hate the fact that I have to look up to him to yell. I think I will make him sit if I want to scold him.

This is the reason for the shaving cream on Logan. During the night the boys put some on Andy, my oldest child. Dang I should of put a picture of Troy up also. I swear when those two get together is gets ridiculous. I really didn't give birth to him. (I know Andy, that probably made you shudder. ) I love him like one of my own. I scold him like one of my own, and I have to admit that I yell at him like he was my own. This is a photo of him sporting a Pirates of the Caribbean wig. Nice look.

I had a hard last week and I am determined to have a good one this week. I love my kids. I hate it when they are hurt, not happy, sick, mad or naughty. Sometimes I just lose it and yell. It is my goal this week to take all my kids little quirks and love them no matter what. After all, they love me.

Done, well almost.

The carpet was finally installed. I am very happy about that.

I guess the last thing that needs to be done is painting both of the dressers. I can tell you right now that won't be happening soon.

The boy's room got painted also.

We were going with the Boise State University colors. Go Broncos.

I made the curtains. I still need to paint a shelf for Soren.

I want you all to notice the lack of mess on Logan's desk. Give him one more day and you won't be able to see it.

Happiness short lived.

This is why I couldn't be happy for long. My poor Little Miss Muffet is feeling terrible. She has had a cold like all of us and got better. Then this came on last night. High fever with all the yucky stuff. All she wants is for someone to hold her. Right now I am having a break so I can post the pictures about the thing that made me happy.

Our neighbor Steve is a woodworker. He took on the task of building an entertainment center for our Familyroom. He did an amazing job. Ignore all the dust on the piano. It's just a figment of your imagination.

I am truly happy how it turned out. It fits in with the rest of our stuff, it fits my "stuff". I have a very individual sense of decorating. It's all me.

Freakin' out!

I had just picked up Soren from school today when I almost lost my life. There is a wonderful teacher at their school named Mrs. Clark. A little crazy, but wonderful. Any person with a snake as a pet is CRAZY! She gave the kids in Soren's class some of the snake's shed skin. As I was pulling out of the pick lane Soren announces to me that he has some snake skin from Mrs. Clark's snake to show me. Before I realized what I had done, I had opened my door to jump out of to get away from the snake skin. Hello, I was driving! It's a miracle that I didn't hit anyone. I threatened Soren's little life that he better not take the skin out of his backpack. Then he told me he was going to put it under my pillow tonight. That stinkin' little booger. I don't think anyone realizes the extent of my fear of snakes.

New lamps and new hair cut.

Troy and I made new lamps for the Family room. I has seen similar lamps at the store for a lot of money. So what do we do? We make them ourselves!

We got the jars at Target and a light kit from a hardware store and made the lamp.

At craft stores you can get lamp shades that are sticky so you can put your own fabric on them. Troy helped me pick out this beige toile. Inside the lamp I put some moss and a birds nest. So my thing. I am really happy how they turned out because they are EXACTLY how I wanted them. For different seasons I can put other things in the jars. Pumpkins for the fall, glass ornaments at Christmas. The possibilities are endless.

Now about that new haircut. Olivia got gum in her hair and I had to cut off several inches. I love how it turned out. It fits her well.

A cute little bob for a little girl who will only wear dresses.
